A Day With Us at The Olive Ann | June 2024

Hello, beautiful people! 

Long time no talk. This is Adina Weinstein, the Creative Director of Klaudia and Co. We've had a busy week... a busy month, more like. We all have a lot to catch up on! 

I wanted to share our beautiful promotional shoot with the Olive Ann hotel with all of you. The Olive Ann is a new boutique hotel in downtown Grand Forks... and, we're neighbors!

The Olive Ann was wonderful and accommodating to my team. My day started at five am, when I got up and started getting ready. I went and got glam, and then I went to Klaudia and Co GFK! I prepped the full outfits, complete with styling, before my team got there. I met with my beautiful hair and makeup artists, @facewellartistry (Laura Evavold) and her assitant @shephardbeauty (Samantha Shephard). We got going on the first model, and we ended up having to cold call two! Well, we cold called one. Samantha Shephard so graciously leaped up and modeled for us as well.

Then, I got the immense pleasure of working with Alexa Steen photography. I had never worked with her before, and she was an unbelievably accommodating sweetheart. It was totally awesome. We were simultaneously doing a photo promo for Sweetwaters Coffee, so we got going on that. Sweetwaters is a new coffee shop in the Olive Ann Hotel, and their staff were absolute pros. It was great. I got myself a dirty chai, which was delicious. Our incredibly professional group did what they do best, and we were ready to start shooting around 10 am. The Olive Ann was great, and we got to explore and get the beautiful shots we needed. Vintage Greens Grand Forks met us there, and she had designed the most amazing bouquets in our colors. We even had a bit of an adventure... the high school let our for lunch, and, being in right downtown, we got a big crowd watching our team! Nobody broke a sweat. Well, maybe I broke a sweat. Just a little. 

I could go on and on about this shoot forever! I released a director's pick on my Instagram, but I just knew that we had to share more. I'll put a photodump at the bottom of this post. This shoot has an incredibly special place in my heart: it shows that even when you hit unexpected bumps in the road, when you have a group of committed, professional and artistic women nothing can stop you.
